gnome-panel crash on RH 8.0 (2)

Hello,

Since I installed RH 8.0, after logging in I get immediately
	Application "gnome-panel" (process ...) has crashed
	due to a fatal error (Aborted)
Clicking on "Close" repeats the problem, so I must leave the error message
on the screen. The panel is now non-functional.

When running manually  "gnome-panel &"  I get
	System-tray-applet-ERROR **:
	file obox.c: line 107 (get_class): should not be reached
	aborting...

Any idea how to debug this?
