gedit displays content of Home Folder and Trash files instead of Nautilus

I right clicked Home Folder -> Open With -> Associate Application and
typed in "gedit" in Program to Run. Now whenever I double click Home
Folder or Trash icon, gedit display the content of these files. I also
cannot drop any thing into the Trash. I have Gnome 2.0.6 (RedHat 8).
