GNOME configuration files

Hello list,

Is there documentation available about global Gnome desktop
configuration files? This would include the global (not per user)
panel placement, desktop icons, launchers etc. Also other preferences
such as whether to enable Auto-login etc.

I need to modify these preferences through kickstart for an automated
installation. Any suggestions?
