Gnome on a zipslack installlation....

Please help! I'd like to get Gnome running on a zipslack installation. 
So far, no luck. I've downloaded and installed x11-6.8.1-i486-3.tgz and 
x11-fonts-scale-6.8.1-noarch2.tgz and glibc234.tgz, and NADA. It pukes. 
Is there a SINGLE definitive installation somewhere I can just use the 
'installpkg' or 'pkgtool' to get X and Gnome running?
