problems with compiling libgtop

HI Slackware fans,

I'm having a very strange and irritating problem with the compilation of 
the libgtop package. I can smell the gnome 2 desktop but I can't see the 
finishline.

I'm running slackware 8.0 with kernel 2.4.18 and gcc2.95.3.
I'm trying to compile the garnome 0.10.1 version and included a log of 
the compilation error with libgtop. I'm hoping that someone can help me 
with this problem.
