Re: Gnome 2

From what I've seen, installing Gnome2 in /usr (--prefix=/usr) will
overwrite your Gnome 1.4 install.  I tried this on a test slack 8.1 box.
 When I went to start X, Gnome2 started up, not Gnome 1.4.  It didn't
work very well for me though due to errors compiling a few packages.
