gnome 2.4 spec files

Hi list:
I am new to this list.

I want to assemble a set of gnome rpms for redhat advanced server 3.

When I check out various packages fro cvs, I notice that many of them do not have spec fies yet.

Is there a standard procedure/template for the spec files so I could create some of the files on my own?
