So no src.rpm?
Should not make much of a difference, but having a src.rpm makes it
easier to examine/adapt the spec file before building.

This is included in point 2)

The first part is OK, the latter (on as many systems as possible) is a
bit tricky.
Just think of Mandrake vs RedHat or SuSE (regarding Naming of the
packages) - this probably has to be handled by distribution specific
meta-packages, not by every single package.

I don't think that dividing this list is necessary when the topic is
help on /building/ the packages, not on using the packages..
