    Yeah. You are correct. libgnomecups is not in the official release 
of GNOME yet. You can also use libgnomecups together with 
gnome-cups-manager to have a standalone app which allow you to create 
print queues, print jobs management. As far as I can see the 
gnome-cups-manager GUI is not quite complete yet as it requires 
additional icon for default print queue also.

    There is  also a printers view in nautilus that came with Ximian 
XD2. Do you know about that?
