Re: GtkNotebook scrolling

I want to add important points when scrolling through tabs using the
mouse wheel:

* it is fast (much faster than using the notebook arrows)

* it is interactive, that is the scrolling speed depends on how fast I
use the mouse wheel and it gives me some kind of feedback:

Example e.g. in gedit - 10 tabs are opened, 4 of them are visible.
I am working in tab #2. I want to switch to a tab that is (don't know
exactly but at the end of the notebook tabs collection) #8, #9, or #10.
So I move very fast (maybe even skipping tabs) to the end, then I slow
down and then select the correct tab by just moving the mouse wheel by
increment +1 or -1.

* it is easy to correct a choice; the mouse wheel is a fast and
efficient input device. I can easily move forward and backward.


One last general comment (my intention is not offensive nor a flame war)
not directly related: it's cool features like this that make the
difference between Gnome and e.g. Windows. And it's these differences
that make me use Gnome instead of Windows. If I wished a Desktop
environment that behaves and feels like Windows (e.g.) I would use
Windows (e.g.).
