It may seem like a pipe dream but it does work. Write up a compelling
case and include pictures of ponies and star wars characters, get some
diagrams and mockups together, and make some blog posts developers will
see.

p.s. Most effective is to time your blog post a couple of weeks before
the Google Summer of Code deadline...!
