In the meantime while it is implemented or corrected I saw that the only workaround is to indicate mono to use X11 backend instead of Carbon. In Mono's readme inside the DMG there is the environment variable it should be used to do that. I also recommend you to do that because I've found a lot of bugs in the TextBox and RichTextBox behaviours (like not being able to write, click, select, copy, so on).
