Native Menu Bars in Winforms on OSX

I think I may have asked this before: it is totally absurd that Winforms apps should run on OSX without being able to have normal menu bars like every other application. Even in Java I've managed to do this http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2061194/swing-on-osx-how-to-trap-command-q and I know that GTK# apps do it.
