About Evolution successful compilation

Greetings all. 

Two subjects here: 

1) I have been receiving some weird post from this list with pure 
   HTML messages and Chinese ideograms!! 

  There is any kind of agreement to filter this stuff in the list? 

2) Second. I have been struggling at the task of compile Evolutions 
   sources and the issue is about the Contact list:

Today I did the compilation to build the .i386.rpm file form the 
cvs sources of yesterday, and I made it indeed!! 

But now it was with the recommended db3 version 3.1.17 as the told 
to do:

To compile the db3 package: 

1- Extract the .tar.gz contents (in /tmp for instance) 
2- cd db-3.1.17/dist 
3- ./configure && make 

   ** DO NOT DO THE 'make install'  COMMAND ** 

To compile Evolution place the command: 

./configure --with-db3-includes=/tmp/db3/db-3.1.17/dist \
--with-db3-libs=/tmp/db3/db-3.1.17/dist 

Supposing you did the db-3.1.17.tar.gz at /tmp 

You could use more parameters with this configure command too... 

Now the Contacts problems is solved to me... But I can not tell if it
was the use of the cvs sources or the db3 version the solutions...
