Re: red-carpet doesn't ask for root password

So, it sounds like the correct behavior is that a non-root user should 
not be able to change the configuration. My system is working correctly 
there.

The problem appears to be that the menu Launcher does not prompt me for 
a root password.
This happens even when I have just started up and logged in as non-root. 
That is, I do not already have root authenitcation.
Is there a configuration file that gnome uses where it would cache 
"authenticated" or not?

Anyone know what log I should be watching to see what is happening when 
I launch red-carpet from a menu (as non-root)? Then I can submit the log 
as a bug report.
