Caching...

I know this has been brought up before, since I found a post on google
and that is how I found my way here..

Alas, we have 12+ computers running Ximian desktop 2.  I generally take
care of the updates.

However, to waste the bandwidth downloading updates from the net over
and over on each machine, is it possible to download them once and cache
them?  We have a squid proxy running here, but red-carpet doesnt seem to
want to use it..  Plus no way to specify the port..

Ideas?
