Have you looked in the Unsubscribed Channels Section? 

Could also be that he connector isn't supported on your platform. The
News section is simply a broadcast that doesn't have any intelligence in
terms of what OS you're running. I forget which OS's support the
Connector -- but I don't think they all do.
