...ah. not totally fixed.

Removing /var/lib/rcd/services.xml does indeed cure the runaway rcd
process.

However, whenever I re-add http://open-carpet.org to the services-list
(using the red-carpet gui), things get stuck midway through refreshing
the channels data. Thus, it seems there is something in the opencarpet
repository data which screws up rcd.

If I stop the rcd deamon while redcarpet is open, I get the following in
the error console.
