Restart it, give it a few minutes, then try to connect... If you get that message asking where to connect, tell it local... If it asks to start a server, tell it no, wait a few more minutes, and click connect again ... The rcd daemon takes anywhere from 1-5 minutes to initialize.. (this is based off my experiences with it) ...
