[system-tools] Strange volume problem

The gnome volume control has a funny quirk. When I adjust the slider up
it slowly goes back down by itself.
The sound works just fine, apart from this issue.
I am using Fedora test3 and Gnome 2.6.0

anyone heard of this before ?
