Re: GnuCash refuses to read file

Hi Daryl,

Well if it is related to gnome2, it isn't an definite one. I have been
running gnucash 1.6.6 under gnome2 for some time. I am currently on
RH7.3. A month back I was running gnucash (not sure which 1.6.x version)
on gnome2 under RH7.2 and that worked fine too.

The only consistent error I used to have with gnucash was that after it
was installed it needed to compile its guile files, but it needed to be
root to do this. Not sure if this has been fixed and exactly what the
error message was. However just try running up gnucash as root, then
close it down again, then try it as a normal user.
