Marty,

Your not Ximians' target audience.  The mere fact that you download and
install bleeding edge and pre-beta software means that you are far in
advance of where Ximian wants to be.

Ximian is aiming at the corporate desktop.  Corporate doesn't want
untested, recent release software.  They want work horse, runs day in
day out, m's look like m's software.

Ximain, as I understand it, are hard at work on Gnome2, including
something special with OpenOffice.org (everyone's MUM, but there are
signs) but they want super stable and super dependable.  Ximian are
never going to lead with their releases, but you can be sure that - if
patient - their releases will be good, if a little 'passe' ;-]
