Making an app sticky/Show on All Workspaces

OK, probably going to feel silly for asking these, but 

1) I can't figure out how to make gkrellm sticky on the gnome2 workspace
desktop like I could with sawfish in Gnome 1.4.

2) Before I upgraded I had one workspace split into 5 "columns" so I
could slide things between them. Now with g2 (which I love by the
way...), I do not have the columns option, so I have moved to 5
workspaces. However, I am not able to "slide" apps between one virtual
desktop and into the other one as I could with columns and I can't find
a workspace flipping option.

Any help greatly appreciated and sorry for the niggly questions...
