Jacob,
Thanks for the tips. I captured some of the error messsages from startx
and they are below (The invalid cast message repeats for thousands of
times and then X dies. I don't get these messages if I choose "failsafe
gnome" from the GDM greeter.
My gnomerc script (/etc/gdm/) is:
[damon@nixbox gdm]$ cat gnomerc
exec /usr/bin/gnome-session
gnome-session is:
[damon@nixbox gdm]$ gnome-session --version
Gnome gnome-session 1.5.20
Is there something else you can think of that I can look at?
