there was a bug in today's snapshots causing pretty much everything to
crash on login.

i'm currently uploading a new set of snapshots which have this bug
fixed.  they should be available soon.

please make sure you don't upgrade to the set from 4 AM tuesday, but
wait for the newer ones.
