Great job.  Well done.  (It should be noted that I haven't installed
yet, but I'm thrilled that the builds are working again.)

Some things worth noting and some questions.

The version of metacity included is known to have performance issues. 
This is in bugzilla and makes moving windows very slow and jerky. 
Thought this was worth noting before people started to comment.

I noticed that gedit is still version 2.0.6.  Any change (sheesh you've
only just got the builds working again...) of getting the latest gedit
into the snaps.
