Yeah, painful, but keep in mind... Alt-tab can be used to get back minimized windows and ctrl-alt-right/left can be used to switch between workspaces. Other keyboard shortcuts findable in the "keyboard shortcuts" app under Desktop Preferences (Applications menu).
