I'd recommend Soup as a good HTTP library implementation, and that's how
we use it in our projects here at Ximian and we maintain that aspect of
Soup.  The SOAP stuff however is not actively maintained and wouldn't
recommend it.  Unless, of course, you wanted to maintain it. :)
