It's possible this race bug resulted in a corrupted file, which the installer recognized as corrupted and refused to install. There's a good chance that trying the install a second time would work. You might want to rm -f /var/cache/redcarpet/packages/gnome-system- monitor* (to make sure it doesn't try to use the corrupt one again). -Mark Gordon
