Ximian 1.5 Question

I'm running ximian-connector-1.5.92-3mdk with evolution-1.5.93-4mdk
 on Mandrake 10.0 and trying to migrate from 1.4.5

For some reason, I can't use encrypted passwords to connect to the
Exchange server and I can not send mail using Exchange.

POP and SMTP seem to work reasonably well.

Any suggestions as to what I might be missing would be appreciated.
