I'm not sure, if I understand your question. Anyway...

You just want to add a "link" or the URL of a website?

Basically, this depends on the mail format you are sending. If you are
sending plain text mails (like the one you just sent to this list) it
will be sufficient to add the URL. Like this:

  www.gnome.org

Evolution automagically will recognize it as link and display it
accordingly (blue, underlined, acting like a real hyperlink when
clicking). However, this depends on the mailer.

FWIW: Plain text does not know hyperlinks (sic), so just including the
URL is your only chance.


A quick test with HTML mails unfortunately did not work as expected.
Instead if interpreting the HTML anchor tag, the composer displayed the
source as is. Thus I'm not sure about HTML mails...

If this really fails, there might be a workaround: Script signatures are
expected to be HTML formatted, even when composing in plain text format.
So a script signature with the correct HTML tag might work.
