Do the following as root:
1. Create a data partition: e.g. /dev/hda5
(you may have to resize your partitions, or use a different drive)
You may use this partition to reference data across distribs.
2. format: (ext2/ext3/reiserfs)
3. create mount point: mkdir /mnt/data
4. mount: mount /dev/hda5 /mnt/data
(place in /etc/fstab to automatically mount on startup)
5. move entire evolution folder to data partition
(ensure evolution is not running)
mv /home/<yourname>/evolution /mnt/data
6. link it symbolically:
cd /home/yourname
ln -s /mnt/data/evolution
(repeat steps 3 to 6 for your other distribs)
You may want to ensure that your user permissions allow you to access from the
other distribs. Not all distribs will assign you the same Unix user number.
