Corrupt contact files

I've just upgraded from FC2 to FC3 which automatically moved me from
Evolution 1.4 to Evolution 2.

The migration process did not go too well when it came to contacts. I've
found a way round it and have now been able to e-mail myself my original
contacts. However, some of them seem to be corrupted (which maybe was
the cause of the initial migration problems). 

When I try to make amendments to some contacts they are not accepted and
I am told "the contact does not exist" - even though I can see the
contact on the screen. I can't even delete and reinstall the contacts.
It only seems to be happening to about 6 contacts out of several
hundred.

Is there a way of repairing these damaged files? Or even deleting them
to get them out of the way?
