Evo 2 Calendar doesn't let me enter appointments

I've just started using Evo again, after a run with Thunderbird (printing problem). Evo doesn't want to let me enter info into any fields what I try to enter a "New Appointment". I don't seem to have this problem with other modules in Evo. Has anyone run up against this behavior before? If so, any cures? I'm running Evo 2.02 on CentOS 4.1.
