Evolution hanging frequently - fixed

Hi,
On two previous occasions I have written to this list about the problem
I have had with Evolution 1.4.4 in Mdk 9.2.  It has been pausing for up
to a minute when I have been entering text in the email window.  It has
also been hanging for short periods when moving mail messages into their
local folders.  Some times it has taken me 5 minutes to send a thirty
second note. 

The answer came from the ice-linux mailing list.  My problem was that I
did not have my /etc/hosts file set up adequately.  I had the entry for
127.0.0.1 localhost but not 127.0.0.1 andrew.foo.home andrew.

Once corrected, Evolution works faster, no more breaks and the
perception is that other things seem to work better as well.

Might be a useful one to tuck away.
