"Internal error" seems to be an error of your IMAP server.

Is this the latest version of dovecot?

Questions like this are probably best asked on the Evolution mailing
list [1], as this one is dedicated to all aspects of Ximian (Desktop)
related questions and discussions.

Most Evolution hackers are reading the Evolution mailing list, and AFAIK
even the dovecot developer is subscribed to that list -- although I am
not sure, how actively he is reading that list...
