This is related to the default browser preference thread.  I'm using
Evolution 1.4.5 (Mandrake 9.2 using KDE 3.1 desktop environment) with
gnome-vfs2-2.4.0-1mdk and gnome-vfs-1.0.5-10mdk.  I can successfully
change the browser using gnome-default-applications-properties, but when
I log out of my KDE session, the default settings revert back to
galeon.  The file in my directory that is changed by
gnome-default-applications-properties,.gnome/application-info/user.applications, is apparently generated by gnome-vfs application registry.  How do I go about making my browser changes persist from session to session?

Any help appreciated.
