Remember "All I Need to Know, I Learned in Kindergarten"? In re: the
last few days follies with Evolution, it would appear that all I need to
know, I learned in the bad-old DOS days. With apologies to Guenther, my
most recent Evolution problems seem (I hope) to have been solved by a
series of "close-out, shut-down, and reboot" moves.

At some point, after several reboots, the Cyrillic characters
disappeared as unexpectedly and as mysteriously as they arrived.

After a few more reboot sequences, I was finally able to resume sending
messages from Evolution without having them error and pile up in the
Outbox.

I do have a clue, however, about what may have started this mess. The
problems started with my attempt to reply to a message from someone with
a @msn.com e-mail address. I went back and studied the header from that
message and found "(misconfigured sender)" near the beginning. Perhaps
that has something to do with this problem, perhaps not. I'm not smart
enough to figure it out.

Hopefully, I can now return to concentrating on why I can't send from
the AOL IMAP accounts.
