I think a particular sticking point was the Ximian version of OOo.org.
The differences in font rendering and bullets, for example, between the
standard edition vs. Ximian's was enough for me to start using XD2 as my
default desktop instead of KDE (better integration overall of all the
apps.) 

So I guess seeing packages that came with XD2 now just come with SUSE
would be nice and it sounds like it's beginning to happen, which is
cool.
