What do you mean exactly? Aren't there no icons visible in the
Attachment pane of the Composer? Or do you get an error message?


I suppose the former. Have you tried simply sending a mail with a small
test attachment to yourself, even if you don't see an attachment?

If this works, you are missing some packages. You will need to have gdk-
pixbuf and hicolor-icon-theme installed. IIRC there is another
dependency to hicolor-icon-theme which I don't remember OTOH.
