Sorry No i believe in the holy Pinguin ;-)
I only know the export import stuff as at work we create addon modules for 
OpenInventor  based Amira visualisation sorftware which uses the API.h trick 
to get the loadable addons to build on both windows and Unix/Linux ;-(
