It's easy to get other dictionaries (such > as Spanish) to expand, but it doesn't seem to work with en_US. The Aspell dictionary does not have any affix information in it. Thus, the expand step does nothing. Also, it looks like there is a bug in the aspell version you are using as it is chopping off the last letter of each word in the dictionary.
