The very first question to consider is, do you even see a drop event 
signaled by the card?  The place to check is where the VPB_DROP case is 
found in drivers/vpb/driver.cpp.  If nothing goes through that case, the 
card itself, or the sdk, is not reporting any disconnect events to Bayonne.
