Parent Child Script Problem

I'm trying to have a parent control script span numerous child scripts and
control them. This works well, but the parent script keeps dieing after
about 15 minutes. Also the port the parent script is run on is wasted.

Is there a solution to this?

I'm running production stable ver 1 bayonne.
