Problems using CommonC++ with gcc 4.2

Hi,

I'm trying to compile an application that uses from CommonC++ some of its
network support and it fails here because gcc 4.2 doesn't include the
bits/atomicity.h header.

Is there a known workaround for this? I'm using CommonC++ 1.5.6 from
debian packages.=20
