Re: Newbe hardware question (vmodem)

I think vmodem is complex for several reasons.  First, it uses an odd 
audio format.  Second, each model of modem is a bit different.  The 
driver interface code is itself very simple for Bayonne2, but the code 
you will need to manage and serially drive the voice modem could get 
complex.  libccext2 (from commoncpp) has a generic and portable serial 
interface class, and that may be a place to start from.
