GNU Chess Mac

Hi GNU Chess support,

I am new to Mac. I have a Mac OS X Version 10.5.6 Leopard software. I
can't decipher the steps to download GNU to this system of Apple nor
Vista. I would have to take my desktop all the way to the campus
technical office but that doesn't guarantee they can install the
program. It's a bunch of files that are extracted. Why am I getting
the run around? I tried installing the Linux version because Linux
runs on anything but the same file downloaded. Can you send a CD with
a Mac version GNU?
