Hiarcs

I'm using gnu chess for windows and am trying to use the Hiarcs
engine.

I've been able to start the program with the Hiarcs engine but when I
set the computer to move it never does - it's time runs out and never
does anything.

Am I doing something wrong? Anybody else use Hiarcs w/ gnu chess
successfully on a pc?
