packaged.

Regarding the future and development of Cons, please check out the thread

If you feel you can take the lead on any of the issues mentioned there, mail
me, and I'll set you up with the FSF.

Having said that, Steven Knight leads a new and cool SCons
http://www.scons.org/ , which is more active (anything is more active than
cons though). If you have cycles to spare (and Steve needs them), that is
another project to contemplate contributing to.
