I have not been able to get sockets to work on Solaris Sparc 2.8,2.9 ... figure it wont work on 2.6. Also installed latest mono and sockets works ..hmmm. Havent had time to investigate further. Most of us don't have Solaris or other "Exotic" OSes (exotic as in "expensive and only runs on similarly expensive hardware")...
